What NOT To Pack

not-to-packBefore you start packing in your belongings completely, be sure to read up on the hazardous items you must leave behind. Eliminate the slightest possibility of your life belongings getting destroyed or injuring any bystanders by reading these tips.

  • Aerosol cans regardless of content
  • Heating agents such as Sterno
  • Nail polish/remover
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Any type of gas in bottle or tanks including propane or oxygen
  • Paints, varnished,solvents, thinners and oils
  • Ammonia, bleach and other household cleaning agents
  • Chlorine granules or powder
  • Muriatic acid (also called hydrochloric acid)
  • Auto batteries
  • Charcoal / lighter fluid
  • Matches and lighters
  • Ammunition
  • An other combustible product

In addition to hazardous materials, perishable items and those of personal importance are recommended for your individual transport. Listed below are suggested items:

  • Frozen/ refrigerated food
  • Produce
  • Open food items
  • Plants
  • Prescription medications
  • Stocks, bonds and securities
  • Collections, such as coins and stamps
  • Insurance policies
  • Currency
  • Jewelry and furs
  • Other important documents
